To strengthen our team at the location in Leinfelden-Echterdingen (near Stuttgart) we are looking for a Hardware Engineer working student (m/f/d) with immediate effect for the duration of 12 months.
YOUR NEW TASKS
- Supporting the Hardware development of Automotive Electronic Units PoC (Proof of Concept).
- Supporting the Hardware Team for performing hardware measurements on test-benches and PCBs.
- Set-up, maintain and adjust HW prototype benches according to the development team needs
- Supporting the Hardware engineering activities on the ongoing Automotive projects.
- Supporting the Hardware Architecture Team for evaluating the key components that can be applied into Automotive ECUs Hardware Architectures.
Your interfaces: Hardware Team, Hardware engineers, Software developers, Mechanical engineers, Validation engineers.
YOUR PROFILE
Your Skills and requirements
- You are a Hardware Engineering / Embedded Systems / Computer Science (or similar) Student finalizing the bachelor/master’s degree studies.
- You have a general hardware-oriented knowledge related digital, analog, and powerelectronics.
- You can perform measurements with oscilloscope, multimeter, and you have a general knowledge about electronic measurements techniques.
- You have knowledge about creating electronic prototypes (i.e. soldering connectors on cables, soldering components on a PCB
- You have knowledge to perform hardware related tasks such as schematic design, PCB design, Hardware verification and Hardware debug of prototypes.
- You enjoy finding new solutions that can be directly implemented in prototypes benches.
- You have a general knowledge of Embedded Systems.
- You have a general knowledge about Microcontrollers (MCU), System-on-Chip (SoC), switching converters, Motor controllers, Digital and Analog Audio.
- You have a general knowledge about Electronic Communication Buses and Digital Interfaces (i.e. I2C, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, UART, A2B).You have a general knowledge about hardware design CAD systems – Altium Designer is the AAEU preferred CAD tool.
- You have a basic knowledge of C, C++, and basic experience to operate with MCU Hardware functional blocks in SW IDEs (Integrated Development Environments).

- Very good English in speaking and writing
- Good German is an advantage
