To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Cost Engineer / Cost Analyser (m/f/d) with immediate effect. This position could be located in Unterschleißheim (near Munich), Düsseldorf or Leinfelden-Echterdingen (near Stuttgart).

YOUR CHALLENGES
- You are responsible for cost estimation related to development, industrialization and manufacturing mass production of products
- You identify cost drivers by analysis and breakdown of overall cost structures on products and respective manufacturing
- You deploy value engineering techniques to optimize costs and identify cost drivers
- You develop and implement cost optimization strategies without making compromises regarding quality, reliability and performance aspects of products
- You conduct benchmarking exercises to compare cost structures against industry standards, market trends and competition
- You collaborate with suppliers, technology enablers and engage with strategic purchasing to assess suppliers’ cost competitiveness, reliability and technology roadmap
- You contribute to Alps Alpine’ GTB, product cost calculation and business development processes in order to support competitive product cost outline
YOUR PROFILE
- Degree in mechanical, electrical, business engineering or related fields
- Knowledge and familiarity with economic- and business-related processes
- Practical experience in manufacturing and production environment
- Funded technology knowledge of electrical, mechanical components and sub-assemblies is desirable
- Proven track records of implementation on cost reduction projects
- Practical knowledge and utilization of cost calculation IT tools
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work in cross-functional teams
- Strong communication and good organizational competence
- Analytic thinking, strong conceptual skills and structured work approach
- Result-oriented and collaborative work attitude
- Proficiency in presenting and reporting
- Proficiency in verbal and written English, good command of German
- Availability and willingness for occasional business travels
