To strengthen our team at our location in Leinfelden near Stuttgart, we are looking for an Audio Engineer (m/w/d) with immediate effect.


  • As an Audio Engineer you are responsible for the design, development, application and testing of any audio product as part of the next generation of automotive and other audio systems
  • The role of an Audio Engineer requires a close cooperation with experts from different areas such as audio system architecture, hardware architecture, software architecture, DSP and other domain experts
  • Support the local sound strategy and develop future oriented, state of the art solutions for audio and processing of audio within the automotive E/E and other architectures. Ensure robustness, performance, and safety aspects within the audio domain
  • Install and tune automotive and other audio and sound systems and evaluate the audio quality
  • Drive technical requirements and clarification with stakeholders within Alps Alpine, Automotive OEM and hard and software suppliers
  • Support technical presentations and workshops with customers during the quotation phase and development
  • Support selection and management of sound branding partners


  • University degree in Audio, Acoustics or Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar with extensive experience in audio technology
  • Ability to break down complex problems and projects and find a good solution that fits nicely with the overall architecture
  • Expert knowledge in many of these areas: Embedded DSP architectures, audio processors and frameworks, automotive audio interfaces such as CAN, A2B, Ethernet
  • Knowhow in programming languages C, C++, Java and embedded operating systems such as Linux, Android and QNX preferred
  • Ability to manage and understand complex audio DSP designs
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as audio expert
  • Ideally a practical work experience in automotive environments. Automotive safety
